For **Gran Canaria**, I recommend at least **7 days** to truly experience the island's diversity. This way you have enough time to enjoy the beaches, take excursions, and explore nature. However, if you want to dive deeper and discover more remote places, **10 days or more** are ideal. That way you can perfectly combine relaxed beach days with active experiences.

I find it especially exciting that you can hike in the mountains one day and just a few hours later enjoy the sunset by the sea – something you really don't get everywhere. A few places particularly stayed in my memory. For example, **La Aldea Beach** on the west of the island – a real insider tip. The beach is surrounded by steep cliffs and hardly visited, making it a perfect place to simply switch off and relax at the end of the day. One of the most beautiful viewpoints on Gran Canaria for me is the **Mirador del Balcón**. Especially at sunset, the view is simply magical; the warm light bathes the rocks in golden colors, and you feel the special calmness the island radiates. For me, it is one of the most beautiful places to end the day.
