I recently worked with Travelbase to highlight their new tour: a week in Finnish Lapland (laplandtravel.com). The goal was to bring awareness to the tour and to spark inspiration and interest among the English audience (their primary audience has been Dutch, French, Belgian and German). For the collaboration, my deliverable was a blog post and a couple social media stories. As always, I strived to overdeliver! For social media, I published daily IG stories (with a highlight afterwards) and created 20+ short-form social media videos. For my website, I published three comprehensive blogs: • Things to Do in Lapland: https://www.thewanderfulme.com/things-to-do-in-lapland-finland-in-winter/ • How to Plan a Winter Trip to Lapland: https://www.thewanderfulme.com/winter-trip-to-lapland-finland/ • Reasons to Visit Lapland: https://www.thewanderfulme.com/reasons-to-visit-finnish-lapland-in-winter/ Overall, social media generated 52,000+ impressions and hundreds of saves, while the blogs have driven 300 views and 25 high-quality clicks to Travelbase's Lapland landing page. (That's an 8% click-through rate!) As Lapland becomes a more popular destination among the English market, particularly the UK, the more inspirational blogs—reasons to visit and things to do in Lapland—will continue to drive awareness and interest, while the trip planning blog—which meets people towards the bottom of the marketing funnel—will drive site traffic and conversions. This multi-pronged marketing approach targeting awareness, interest, and conversion is the best way to generate meaningful campaign results.
